Easy fix though, once you get in the car and are about to leave, just put your right or left turn signal on for a second and it'll clear the warning. Before comparing those two different headlight bulbs, we need to explain how they work. Occasionally, I'll get in the car after remote starting it and I'll get a notice on the dash saying "Check Right Turn Signal" or "Check Left Turn Signal" because it thinks there is a problem. So what I've noticed is that the hazards flash at a slower rate than when you push the hazard button which throws off the computer. Also, I'm not sure if yours has the blue link feature where you can remote start your car but if you do use that feature the hazards come on for the duration of the remote start. But just turn them off for like 10 seconds and they work normal again. A very specific situation but just thought I'd mention. I think I might just go back to the normal bulbs because it's getting annoying now haha.Ģ) If you change your turn signals to LED, I've noticed that on hot days like 90+ degrees fehrenhite, they will hyper flash due to the heat if the sun is directly on the bulb and you have your signal on for awhile to turn at a stop light or something. So occasionally they won't turn on just because they have lost contact with the socket but the bulbs work fine, just have to push them back in again and they'll work for awhile. But the main issue is that the bulbs they gave me don't quite fit in the socket. It's amazing! If you do decide to go the route of getting everything LED these are the issues I've stumbled upon so far.ġ) If you change your map lights to LED, it's insanely bright haha like everyone almost complains when they turn it on at night. I've had these for about a year now and have had NO issues with the high or low beams. If you have LED low beams with halogen high beams, I doubt the high beams will be much help after seeing how good the low beams are. Kinda pricey but I think you'll need a bunch more wiring if you go with HIDs while these are plug and play! However, I would very much recommend going with their LED highbeams too, if you can swing it. I believe the headlight bulbs alone are around $80. I went with a company called LASFIT to get my LED bulbs from them. Keep swiping right to see more pictures and a video. Link to what they look like on my Ioniq after I installed them. I know EXACTLY how bad they were! Haha I would go with the LED route though. I have a 2019 Ioniq PHEV Base model and they came with the halogen headlight bulbs. The SilverStar lights are closer to white compared to stock "yellow" bulbs, but not to the degree that they light up the snow like LEDs and HIDs. In addition, I totally understand your issue with high colour temperature bulbs reflecting on falling snow. All cars in my driveway that don't have LED bulbs have these installed. But it was a drastic difference from the stock bulbs. When I had my other Ioniq that didn't have LED low beams, I installed those for both low and high beams. They're expensive at about $60-70/pair (I guess maybe $40-45 USD), and have a lower running life compared to most other halogen bulbs, but they make a big difference. Might I suggest, before you go the LED/HID route, grab a pair of Sylvania SilverStar Ultra halogens. I know some people on here have crafty ways of getting around this, such as creating a replacement cap that accommodates non-OEM bulbs, but I can't be bothered. I wanted to go the LED route as well, the issue was the cap that seals the housing for the bulbs.
